Spain’s Greatest Literary Hero, Drawn by Spain’s Greatest Artist
Don Quijote y Sancho was a 1955 drawing by Pablo Picasso, first published by Les Lettres Françaises, in celebration of the 350th anniversary of the first publication of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra’s masterpiece Don Quixote. Since then, Picasso’s seemingly scribbly ink sketch has achieved an iconic status, to become the most recognizable graphic representation of the ever famous hidalgo. (Frame is not included.)
